Irwin Mitchell strengthens Scotland team
Irwin Mitchell has strengthened its Scotland team with the appointment of specialist international personal injury partner Fern Mapp, following its recent combination with Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP (WJM).
Fern joins from Digby Brown and brings 14 years of expertise in personal injury litigation, with a focus on cross-border and travel law, including aviation and package holiday cases.
She has been involved in high-profile matters such as the Clutha helicopter disaster and the US Navy research vessel RV Petrel incident.
A Notary Public and member of both the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and the Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL), Fern’s appointment follows the arrival of Kim Leslie as head of personal injury in Scotland last year.
The team has also recently welcomed senior associate solicitor Izabela Wosiak, solicitor Rachel Brown and paralegal Emma McCutcheon.
Kim Leslie said: “Fern joins us at a very exciting time for Irwin Mitchell Scotland.
“Over the past year, we’ve strengthened the personal injury team and we’re thrilled to be adding Fern with her expertise and network in international personal injury and aviation.
“Fern is a strategic technical expert with exceptional communication skills.
“We are confident that her appointment will greatly enhance our ability to provide exceptional service to our clients injured abroad.”
