Malhotra Group appoints new head of finance
Newcastle-based Malhotra Group plc has appointed Andrew Carr as its new head of finance.
Bringing 25 years of senior financial experience across multiple sectors, Andrew joins from Biddick Academy Trust, where he served as director of finance and business.
His career includes senior roles at Royal Mail Properties, Tyne Metropolitan College and Swissport plc.
In his new role, Andrew will oversee financial reporting, year-end audits, tax affairs and IT governance for the hospitality and care group, which owns The Great North Hotel, Three Mile, Leila Lily’s and residential care providers Prestwick Care and Lifestyle Care.
Andrew said: “I thrive on new challenges and on variety and I’m delighted to be joining Malhotra Group plc, which, with its varied and growing portfolio, really is a North East success story.
“Social responsibility is also very important to me and that ethos is also absolutely front and centre of everything the Group does.”
