Northern Trust Company in £2.85 million deal
A commercial property firm has expanded in a £2.85 million deal.
Northern Trust Company has bought Brighouse Business Village, in Middlesbrough.
Bosses say the move “enhances Northern Trust’s established portfolio in the North East”, with the operator now overseeing more than 1300 units from Northumberland to Teesside.
Brighouse Business Village – based close to Northern Trust Company’s existing Collingwood Court and Harwood Court schemes – includes 29 units across a combined 41,224sq ft footprint.
The deal comes just days after Northern Trust Company completed a £5 million deal for South Nelson Industrial Estate, in Cramlington.
Jonathan Houghton, Northern Trust Company’s property portfolio executive, said: “Brighouse Business Village’s prime location supports the needs of local businesses.
“It also complements our existing ownership in the area, enhancing the flexibility and scale of business space available.”
Steven Porter, Northern Trust’s North East regional property manager, added: “Brighouse Business Village is an ideal addition to the portfolio.
“Its proximity to Collingwood Court and Harwood Court strengthens our market position and enables us to better support the growth of our tenant base.”
