Sales leader to host Teesside summit
A Stockton-based sales consultant is marking her first year in business with a sales summit following a six-figure success despite personal challenges.
Cheryl Spears, founder of Spear-heads, launched her consultancy in September 2023 and quickly built a strong client base through her LinkedIn network.
However, just two months later, she had to pause her plans when her twin daughter Mia required life-saving heart surgery.
Despite the setback, Cheryl’s sought-after expertise allowed her to scale rapidly, hiring six freelance sales professionals.
Cheryl said: “I was able to keep the business ticking over to a small extent and most of my clients were really supportive.
“So, when I relaunched properly in March 2024 once Mia’s health had made a significant improvement, my order book was full again within a week.”
Now, Cheryl’s on track for £250,000 turnover while expanding her team and coaching businesses to boost their sales confidence.
She added: “It sounds impressive, but the figures don’t mean a great deal to me – I just want to provide a good life for my family and be a positive role model for my daughters.”
Cheryl is hosting a sales summit at Hardwick Hall, in Sedgefield, on July 9, which will feature networking, workshops and expert speakers.
She added: “I will share some of my tips, tricks and techniques - and I will have guest speakers and panellists also offering advice.
“Delegates will walk away with a notebook crammed with new ideas around sales and marketing for their business.”
Sponsorship and exhibition opportunities are available, with early bird tickets priced at £70. See Cheryl's LinkedIn page for more details.
