Airport gives glimpse of £100 million terminal work
A travel hub has unveiled a glimpse of a £100 million expansion.
Leeds Bradford Airport has released a preview of its terminal development.
Bosses say the venture will “elevate passenger experiences… and strengthen its position as a key gateway to Yorkshire and beyond”.
Work is scheduled to finish in the summer.
The development will feature new retail and dining spots and upgraded seating areas.
It will also include a new baggage reclaim area and an updated passport control area, which officials say will provide “a smoother and more secure journey for passengers”.
John Cunliffe, commercial director, said: “Our transformative terminal expansion is not only about creating a modern, comfortable airport experience for travellers but about building a sustainable future for travel in the region.
“With construction progressing on schedule, we look forward to welcoming passengers to our upgraded facilities this summer.”
He added once the extension is completed, work will ramp up on redeveloping the airport’s existing terminal.
