Motoring partnership 'will drive greater service'
A new servicing and autocare centre has opened in Ashington, Northumberland, as Richard Hardie Group has partnered with HiQ Tyres & Autocare.
Based at Richard Hardie’s dealership, the centre offers MOTs, tyre fitting and repairs, combining over 50 years of local expertise with HiQ’s national servicing reputation, offering a complete combination of vehicle sales and autocare for customers under one roof.
Managed by Darren Browne, formerly the company’s service manager, who has stepped into an expanded role overseeing the HiQ operations, the venture is expected to create two new technician roles.
Bosses say the centre will aim to enhance service for existing Fiat and MG customers, while also attracting new motorists.
Nick Hardie, managing director of family-run Richard Hardie Group, said: “For many years, we have been committed to providing North East drivers with the very best in new and used car sales.
“Now, with more customers prioritising long-term vehicle maintenance, we see an opportunity to expand our offering to local motorists.
“This new venture means that drivers in Northumberland can buy and service their vehicles all in one place, ensuring we continue to deliver the best possible service for local motorists in Ashington and build strong customer relationships.
“Working with HiQ provides us with a well-established national brand that appeals to a broad customer base.
“We’re confident this will drive new footfall while offering our existing customers even more value.”
