EnerSys powers on with Team BRIT partnership
A battery maker has powered up its support for an all-disabled racing team.
EnerSys is supplying Team BRIT with its ODYSSEY® powerpacks.
Bosses say the agreement, which builds on an existing partnership, will bolster Team BRIT’s “mission to create a completely level playing field for disabled racing drivers”.
Competing across a number of championships, Team BRIT’s cars are equipped with advanced hand control technology that allows drivers to battle on equal terms against able-bodied rivals.
Dave McMullen, senior director of global marketing, transportation and specialty at EnerSys, which has bases in Manchester and Culham, Oxfordshire, said: “We’re looking forward to another exciting season with Team BRIT.
“We’re incredibly proud to be a part of the team’s journey as they continue to champion inclusion in the world of motorsport and beyond.”
Al Locke, Team BRIT engineering director, added: “It’s phenomenal to have the continued support of EnerSys and the ODYSSEY® battery brand.
“We need the best kit to help us continue with our goals to drive real change, so we’re thrilled to have ODYSSEY® on board as we continue to break down barriers in motorsport.”
