TSG 'enhances' market offer with acquisition
An IT firm has expanded with an acquisition.
Technology Services Group (TSG) has added Computer Geeks to its portfolio.
Bosses say the agreement for the IT support service operator will “enhance TSG’s managed services platform, strengthen its cybersecurity offer and boost its presence in the South West”.
They add all Computer Geeks’ staff – including managing director Nick Richards and technical director Rob Eeuwens – will join Team Valley-headquartered IT managed services provider TSG.
The deal for Bristol-based Computer Geeks follows TSG’s move for Dayta last year.
And Rory McKeand, chief executive of TSG, which also has offices in Glasgow, London and Aylesbury, said the “natural move” will act as a catalyst for fresh market opportunities.
He said: “Computer Geeks is a high-quality Microsoft cloud and modern workplace provider that is secure by design.
“The company became one of a handful of IT companies in its region to achieve national cybersecurity centre assured service provider status, which is a testament to its passion and expertise in cybersecurity.
“We are excited to welcome Nick and Rob, who are ambitious guys and a fantastic addition with their wealth of experience and industry knowledge.”
Nick added: “We've found an excellent new home for the business.
“We can see clear similarities with our already existing solutions, as well as a portfolio of new services that might benefit our clients.”
