Leeds-based Morrish Solicitors LLP has promoted Oonagh McCurry and Mark Laird to partner, alongside two new associates, as the firm continues to invest in its future leadership.
Clinical negligence specialist Oonagh McCurry, who joined the firm in 2014, becomes partner in the Leeds office, while Mark Laird, who manages the Pudsey branch and has over two decades of experience in residential property, also steps up to partner.
Oonagh said: “I am delighted to have been promoted to partner at Morrish.
“I have been privileged throughout my time at the firm to support clients after they have been affected by medical negligence.
“I look forward to further strengthening our reputation in this important area of law and contributing to the continued growth and success of the firm.”
Mark added: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have been promoted to partner at Morrish Solicitors.
“It’s an incredible honour to take this next step in my career with such a respected and dedicated team.
“I’m excited for the opportunities ahead and proud to continue serving our clients at the highest level.”
Carrie King, from the personal injury and dispute resolution team, and Roisin Hulme, who works in clinical negligence, have both been promoted to associate.
David Sorensen, managing partner at Morrish Solicitors, added: “This is wonderful news, reflecting Oonagh and Mark’s commitment to the firm, their enthusiasm, and the excellent work they have undertaken.
“Their promotions show the importance to the firm of its clinical negligence and property work.
“This is also a sign of the success and sustained growth the firm is experiencing, giving a platform for two new salaried partners to be appointed.
“We believe both will play vital roles, with the other partners and of course all staff, in leading and guiding the firm to greater success and growth.”
