C4DI and Quickline unite for rural enterprise
A Hull-based tech incubator is joining forces with a rural broadband provider to support digital innovation among businesses and entrepreneurs across East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
The Centre for Digital Innovation (C4DI) has partnered with Quickline to deliver workshops, mentoring and training for 60 rural enterprises over the next three years, with bosses saying it will “empower” businesses to “harness the power of digital innovation for long-term success”.
The support is part of Quickline’s social value pledge under the Government’s £5 billion Project Gigabit to enable hard to reach communities access to fast and reliable broadband, while also marking a milestone for C4DI as it renews its focus on expanding regional impact following a downstairs refurbishment of the digital hub.
Linsey Brown, director of C4DI, said: “We’re excited to partner with Quickline to bring practical, hands-on support to rural businesses.
“At C4DI, we focus on real-world development – helping business owners and entrepreneurs build both their digital skills and their confidence.
“Through tailored workshops, mentoring, and community collaboration, we’re ensuring that rural enterprises have the support they need to grow and succeed.”
Rachel Bowerman, Quickline’s social value lead for East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, added: “At Quickline, we believe that connecting rural businesses to high-speed broadband is just the start.
“Through our partnership with C4DI, we’re ensuring that rural enterprises have the skills, support and confidence to make the most of digital technology.
“By working together, we can help businesses thrive, innovate and grow in an increasingly digital world.
“The partnership reinforces Quickline’s mission to not only connect rural communities but also empower them to harness the power of digital innovation for long-term success.”
