Perspective adds nine to growing portfolio

A financial advisory and wealth management firm has continued “growing at pace” with another wave of takeovers.

Perspective Financial Group, which announced in January that it had added a further five deals, has now completed nine acquisitions so far this year, bringing its total to 116 since its 2008 founding.

The latest deals add £900 million in assets under advice to the business, as well as 2100 new client households and four additional office locations in Stockbridge, Uckfield, Grimsby and Waltham.

The additions are Square One Wealth Management, in Uckfield; Barrie Hough Financial Services, in Stoke-on-Trent; Select Financial Solutions, in Sedgefield; Friendly Wealth Management, in Stafford; Clarendon Financial Planning  and Clarendon FP LLP, in Stockbridge; Chapter Wealth Management, in Waltham, near Grimsby; Paul Horton Financial Solutions, in Grimsby; and Inspirational Financial Planning, in Bath.

Ian Wilkinson, chief executive of Perspective, said: “It has been a great start to 2025, and we are delighted to announce these nine acquisitions of client-centric financial planning businesses.

“We very much welcome our new colleagues who have joined as part of these acquisitions, and we’re pleased to have several new office locations for Perspective across the country.

“We look forward to seeing what the remainder of 2025 brings for Perspective, and we hope that we continue to capitalise on our strong M&A momentum and pipeline.

“We are meeting both large and small firms and plan to continue growing at pace with our highly selective acquisition strategy.”

Sir Frederick Hervey-Bathurst, director of Clarendon Financial Planning, which is now known as Perspective (Clarendon), added: “I could not be more pleased that, after 30 years of serving clients with exceptional professionalism and integrity, we at Clarendon have found in Perspective a partner we can trust to look after our clients’ interests in the future.

“Partly due to the continuing increase in regulatory administration and costs, we felt that we needed to find a larger firm who could help us with that burden.

“We feel confident that Perspective will honour the Clarendon traditions of old-school courtesy and integrity, combined with cutting-edge technical knowledge.

“We are especially delighted that all existing Clarendon staff will be retained at our current office.

“We look forward to continuing to serve our clients, under the new banner of Perspective, with all the advantages that being part of a larger group can provide.”
