JMG Group expands with trio of takeovers
A Yorkshire-based insurance broker has strengthened its UK presence with three strategic acquisitions.
JMG Group has bolstered its operations through its subsidiaries GS Group, Greenwood Moreland and Lighthouse Risk Services.
GS Group has bought W K Insurance, a long-established Scottish broker; Greenwood Moreland has invested in York-based UKI Direct, adding £2.5 million in GWP; and Lighthouse Risk Services has integrated TSE Solutions Ltd, a Leeds-based risk management specialist.
Bosses say the acquisitions are part of JMG Group’s growth strategy, which balances “entrepreneurial autonomy with group-wide support”, positioning the company for continued success in the UK insurance market.
They add that clients of W K Insurance, UKI Direct and TSE Solutions will continue to receive the same trusted service, which has been enhanced by the broader capabilities of the JMG Group.
Nick Houghton, chief executive of JMG Group, said: “These acquisitions reflect the strength of our businesses and their confidence in the support we provide.
“Each firm has identified and seized growth opportunities that align with their values and ambitions.
“Our role is to support them – providing infrastructure, financial backing, and operational expertise – while enabling them to grow independently and make sound commercial decisions.”
