Lovell ventures into private residential market
A housebuilder is expanding into the private residential sector with the launch of a new development in South Otterington, North Yorkshire.
Lovell is building 30 private homes at Saints Green, including a mix of three and four-bedroom houses and two-bedroom bungalows, alongside 12 affordable homes through low-cost rent and shared ownership options.
The homebuilder has opened a show home at the site, with new homebuyers cutting the ribbon to mark the occasion.
Don Anderson, regional managing director for the North East region of Lovell, said: “The launch of Saints Green marks an incredibly significant milestone for the company as it signals the first time the North East region of Lovell has sold private homes on the open market.
“Construction is progressing smoothly and this progress has enabled us to unveil the new show home – a three-bedroom Milford house type – which is the first completed property on the site.
“The build programme should see us welcome the first residents onto the development in July.
“The collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes at Saints Green has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the local private housing market.
“The development is also providing 12 affordable properties to allow local people who can’t afford to pay a mortgage the chance to find a new home in the area.
“As a company, we have ambitious plans to continue to build attractive and sustainable new neighbourhoods in the North East and are always searching for more land to allow us to deliver more much-needed new housing across the region.”
