Vail Williams strengthens Birmingham team
Property consultancy Vail Williams has expanded its Midlands team with two new hires and the return of a former colleague as business demand increases.
Emma Brooks has joined as a valuation associate, Joshua Laurence as a graduate surveyor, and Brian Miklasz has returned as an associate rating surveyor.
Emma brings over 14 years of experience in the Midlands property market, having previously worked for Loveitts and Pennycuick Collins Chartered Surveyors.
She specialises in providing valuations for banks, pension funds, taxation, accounting and statutory matters and has represented clients at the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber).
Carole Taylor, regional managing partner for Vail Williams in the Midlands and North, said: “Emma is a vastly experienced RICS Registered Valuer with a broad range of expertise in the valuation of residential and commercial properties, including HMOs, across the West Midlands and beyond.
“Her professionalism, detailed knowledge and in-depth understanding of her sector are proving invaluable.
“She is also a great team player and is able to offer advice and encouragement to colleagues.”
Joshua joins Vail Williams after 18 months as a commercial property agent at Maguire Jackson, where he focused on sales and lettings in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
He will now advise landlords and occupiers on commercial property acquisition and disposal across the Midlands and North while working towards his RICS chartered surveyor qualification.
Carole added: “Joshua has built up invaluable knowledge of the Birmingham commercial property market and will be aiming to further this knowledge and experience.
“He is tasked with helping to expanding our commercial freehold and leasehold acquisition and disposal work across the region as part of our ongoing growth plans.”
Brian returns to Vail Williams after an 18-month stint with Cushman & Wakefield.
With nearly six years’ experience at Vail Williams previously, he is now part of the business rates team, bringing national expertise to the firm.
Carole added: “We welcome back Brian as a seasoned operator with immense sector knowledge who has seamlessly returned to our business rates team and works closely with Adam Barnfield, the firm’s national head of business rates.”
Vail Williams has been established in the Midlands for over 15 years, with its Birmingham office growing significantly over that time.
