Karbon appoints nine new board members

Karbon Group has made nine new non-executive director appointments across its boards and committees.

New to the Karbon Group Board are Sonia Cargan, Jamie Martin, Gavin Cansfield and Mary-Anne Henshaw.

Additionally, David Done and Lorraine Donnelly join the board of 54North Homes, while Suzanne Oswald joins the Leazes Homes Board.

Meanwhile, Emma Richman and Steven McDermott will sit on the board of proposed for-profit subsidiary, Graphite Living.

The Group has also named Alexis Cleveland as chair designate, taking over from Sir David Bell in July 2025, with Andy Gamble as incoming chair of 54North Homes.

Paul Fiddaman chief executive of the Karbon Group, which owns or manages over 34,000 homes across the North East and Yorkshire, said: “This is an exciting time to be joining the Karbon Group, as we push forward with our ambitious plans to develop more new homes across the region and grow the services we provide, all whilst delivering the highest quality service to our customers and investment in our existing homes.

“The diverse range of skills, passion, and experience our new members will bring, both from within and outside of the sector, will be vital in guiding us with the delivery of our strategy and I look forward to working with them all over the coming years.

“I would like to express my sincerest thanks to both Sir David Bell KCB DL and Steve Secker for their continued support.

“They have both played key roles in the Group, helping us get to where we are today, and I wish them all the best for the future.”
