Housing provider scoops double award success
A social housing provider is celebrating two industry accolades.
Manningham Housing Association picked up the landlord of the year honour at the Northern Housing Awards.
And customer panel member Tausif Mohammed was named tenant of the year.
The housing association was additionally shortlisted in the best affordable housing development (up to £5 million) category for its £4.3 million Odette’s Point development, in Keighley, with its neighbourhood services team reaching the final of the northern housing team of the year award.
Lee Bloomfield, chief executive at Manningham Housing Association – which manages more than 1400 homes for in excess of 6000 residents in Bradford and Keighley – said: “Being singled out as the North of England’s leading landlord is a remarkable feat.
“I also want to pass on my congratulations to Tausif.
“As well as sitting on numerous panels, where he works to improve housing services and advocate tenant needs, Tausif has partnered with us to deliver numerous community projects.
“Most recently, these have included the JU:MP Programme, which has improved the health and wellbeing of more than 200 young people through social and physical activities.”
Rupert Pometsey, chair of Manningham Housing Association, added: “It is wonderful to see the hard work and dedication of our staff being rewarded.”
