DJH grows with Beswicks Legal wealth arm deal
An accountancy and professional services group has expanded with a takeover.
DJH has bought Beswicks Legal’s private wealth business.
Bosses say the move has doubled the size of DJH’s estate planning division to 16 staff – with plans in place to strengthen its team further over the coming months.
They add the deal – which comes just weeks after DJH bought McBrides Chartered Accountants – will make the Stoke-on-Trent-headquartered firm “one of the biggest specialists in Staffordshire and Cheshire”.
Scott Heath, chief executive at Tenzing-backed DJH, which employs around 600 staff across an office portfolio that includes bases in Altrincham, Huddersfield, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield, said the takeover will bolster support across areas including wills and trusts, succession planning and tax advice.
He said: “Beswicks Legal’s private wealth team is very well regarded in the estate planning space and its dedicated approach to best meeting their clients’ needs fits perfectly with our own culture.”
Rachel Watkinson, DJH estate planning managing director, added: “This partnership brings together two highly experienced estate planning and private wealth teams, offering clients access to greater combined expertise and national resource.”
DJH has further offices in Bexley, Bury, Chester, Derby, Nantwich and Walsall.
