Lovell expands North West team
Lovell, the partnership housing and open market developer within the Morgan Sindall Group, has made 16 strategic appointments across the North West to support its growth plans.
The new hires span commercial, operations and technical teams, aligning with Lovell’s pipeline of ten new developments due to start by year-end.
Combined, these schemes will deliver over 1700 new homes in addition to those already underway.
Key additions to the commercial team include Daniel Mutton as commercial manager, Sean Murphy as senior quantity surveyor and Stephanie Shaw as quantity surveyor.
Assistant quantity surveyors Vincent McNeill and Megan Grainger, as well as trainees Ewan Carroll and Adam Lewis, have also joined while pursuing degree apprenticeships.
Sophie Doyle has also joined as a land manager, overseeing prospective new site transactions across the North West.
She said: “It is exciting to be part of a housebuilder that is growing rapidly in the North West and is strongly equipped to acquire and deliver quality developments both through its partnership and open market expertise.”
In operations, the business has welcomed Mark Mellor as contracts manager, with Mark Bidmead, David Williams and Matthew Harrison as site managers.
Chris Rimmer and Joel Barber have also joined as assistant site managers, while Jim Sergeant has joined the technical team as a development coordinator.
Finally, trainee site manager Daisy Axon has joined following a T-Level placement with Lovell, continuing her studies through a degree apprenticeship in design, surveying, planning and construction.
Daisy added: “Having completed a period of work experience with Lovell learning about different roles during my T Levels, I’m excited to continue working with Lovell alongside my studies, developing my skills and expertise in site management.
“Its commitment to supporting women in construction was a big appeal to the role and I am looking forward to helping manage the delivery on site at Signaller’s Croft, in Crewe.”
Paul Challinor, regional managing director for Lovell in the North West, added: “These appointments reflect the strength of our current business and the opportunities that our team have worked hard to bring forward over the past 12 months.
“While starting ten new sites in such a short period of time is unusual, we’re investing in the right people to deliver high-quality homes and strengthen our partnerships and we know that the people joining our team will make significant contributions to ensure our long-term regional success.
“These projects involve working with both new and existing clients, as well as joint ventures and open market sites – under our Lovell Homes brand – so we are excited about what lies ahead.
“Our strong internal capabilities, from land and planning management to complex regeneration projects, through to construction and commercial excellence, ensure we can deliver high-quality, affordable and sustainable homes and build thriving communities across the region.”
