John Torode to headline Seaham Food Festival
MasterChef host John Torode is set to headline a major County Durham culinary event.
The TV chef has been unveiled as the top name at this year’s Seaham Food Festival.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3, with organisers revealing the culinary author will prepare dishes for audiences in the festival’s cookery theatre on the second day.
Councillor Lyndsey Fox, Durham County Council’s cabinet member for economy and partnerships, said: “John is a huge name in television and his demonstrations will be a real highlight.
“We’re expecting thousands of people to flock to Seaham and celebrate all things food.”
She added details of other celebrity chefs appearing at the festival will be announced in the coming weeks.
