Esh builds on success with North Star project
A construction firm is continuing a multi-year programme of housing upgrades across the Tees Valley.
Bowburn-headquartered Esh Construction has entered the third year of its partnership with North Star Housing Group, having already modernised more than 200 properties with new kitchens, bathrooms and internal upgrades.
The planned maintenance contract includes electrical work and the installation of smoke and heat detectors, with all homes brought up to Decent Homes Standards.
Bosses say customer satisfaction has reached 95 per cent, with high scores for quality and professionalism.
Andrew Harrow, framework manager at Esh Construction, said: “The rolling annual contract has proved a real success for our refurbishment team, owing to great communication, building solid relationships with the client and residents, and a shared objective to deliver quality home upgrades.
“The consistently high customer satisfaction scores is testament to the extraordinary standards our delivery team’s set and the quality end product.”
A further 219 homes are due to be improved in the next phase of the project.
Jason Crews, director of assets, property and sustainability at North Star Housing Group, added: “We’re proud to be working with Esh to deliver high-quality improvements that make a real difference for customers.
“Esh has been responsive, collaborative and focused on getting it right first time, which is crucial when working in people’s homes.
“These works help futureproof homes by modernising living spaces and making them more comfortable, safer and more energy efficient.”
