Keepmoat delivers 603 homes in Bradford
A housebuilder has completed work to create hundreds of properties on former disused land across Bradford.
Keepmoat has constructed 603 energy-efficient homes across two sites in Eccleshill and Allerton.
The developments, named Vision and Pinnacle, were built on almost 70 acres of brownfield land in partnership with Bradford Council and housing associations Incommunities, Vico Homes and Accent Homes.
The Vision scheme, in Eccleshill, saw 311 homes built on the site of a former quarry, while the 292-home Pinnacle development, in Allerton, includes public green space and highway improvements.
Across the two schemes, 119 properties were delivered through affordable housing programmes.
Nigel Robson, land and partnerships director at Keepmoat, Yorkshire West, said: “We believe our responsibility goes beyond building homes.
“We’re committed to transforming communities and improving the lives of local people.
“The completion of these developments reflects our ongoing goal to increase the supply of quality housing in Bradford; these sites have been developed with long-term sustainability and local need in mind.”
Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council executive member for regeneration, planning and transport, added: “The completion of over 600 energy efficient houses, built on brownfield land, is a major step forward for Bradford district.
“These developments are testament to the council’s vision and Keepmoat’s commitment to producing good quality housing and communities with green spaces alongside investment in the required appropriate infrastructure.”
