Printed Group presses ahead with third site
A print maker is expanding operations to meet rising demand for large-format services.
The Printed Group has secured a third factory in Cramlington, Northumberland, adding 6000sq ft to its footprint and pushing total operational space beyond 50,000sq ft.
The new base, just a short walk from its existing sites, is part of a near £1 million investment in equipment to support digital and large-format print production.
Bosses say the expansion will boost capacity for its flagship brand Printed.com, as well as its PrintedDirect division.
They add that with large-format sales growing 35 per cent year-on-year, the new site will house high-spec HP and Canon machines, alongside specialist cutting and finishing tools, with the move expected to create new jobs and apprenticeship opportunities.
Rob Haycock, chief executive, said: “This expansion reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence in the print industry.
“By investing in this new facility, we’re enhancing our capabilities to meet high-volume demands while maintaining our quality.
“We’re thrilled to continue supporting businesses with unparalleled service and product variety, and this is just one of many exciting developments coming in 2025.”
The new site will be fully operational by mid-June.
