Matthew Douglas makes capital move
A Suffolk-based financial firm is extending its reach into the capital.
Matthew Douglas, based in Hadleigh, has opened a second office on London’s New Broad Street, marking its expansion beyond the East of England.
The firm, which offers advice on areas including inheritance planning and tax, was recently recognised by the Professional Adviser Awards as one of the best financial advisers to work for in 2024.
Bosses say the new central London location, near Liverpool Street Station, will serve a growing national client base and support its commitment to accessible, high-quality service.
They add the move comes at a “pivotal time” for the firm, following the launch of the Thrive by 35 initiative, which offers free financial advice to young people who are looking to get onto the property ladder.
Matthew Pescott Frost, company director and founder of Matthew Douglas, said: “As a family-run business, our entire ethos centres around confidence and continuity.
“The finance industry is experiencing a massive, pronounced drive of private equity money flooding into the market and buying up businesses like ours.
“We will never let that happen to us or to our loyal clients – at least not on my watch.
“We are very much there for the long term and opening our new London premises acts to underscore our drive and determination as we bring our family values and acute acumen to the big city.”
