Brown & Co expands team
Brown & Co has strengthened its team with the recruitment of Lisa Prestage from MHA and Emma Hayes from Armstrong Watson, responding to growing demand from clients in Lancashire and Cumbria.
Founded by Chris Brown in Thornton-Cleveleys, near Blackpool, the firm has grown from five to 25 employees in five years and expanded its reach by acquiring Ingalls, in Kendal, and BookSmart Accounting, in Carnforth.
The new hires enhance the firm’s capability across Lancashire and Cumbria as it continues its rapid growth.
Lisa, who has 25 years industry experience, said: “I was attracted to Brown & Co by the local and personal touch, spending time getting to know clients as people as well as their businesses, which means we can give them even better advice.”
Emma, who has more than 15 years industry experience, added: “I’m looking forward to joining a growing and forward-thinking business.
“My passion is with family-owned businesses.
“After growing up on the family farm I definitely have a love for agriculture and enjoy working with like-minded people.
“I’m very much looking forward to meeting new clients and working with a great team.”
Chris added: “We are delighted that two highly experienced accountants have bought into our vision and ethos at Brown & Co and chosen to join us.
“I am sure they will both fit in really well with our team and be an excellent support to our growing client base across Lancashire and Cumbria.”
