Morson ramps up training offering with 3B takeover
A training provider is expanding its reach and expertise through a takeover.
Morson Group has acquired 3B Training.
Established in 2011 by executive chair Dave Brooks and managing director Mat Bewley, Wigan-based 3B Training has grown into one of the UK’s largest construction training providers, with offices across the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands.
Bosses say the deal will strengthen Salford-headquartered Morson’s training capabilities amid rising demand for skilled workers due to labour shortages and infrastructure growth.
Ged Mason, chief executive of Morson Group, said: “This acquisition represents a key strategic move to develop our training business, with 3B’s suite of construction offerings complementing Morson Training’s established and substantial expertise across rail and power.
“I look forward to seeing the business integrate and collaborate over the coming months to deliver even greater value for our clients and people.”
Mat added: “Joining the Morson Group marks an exciting new chapter for 3B Training.
“We’ve always been passionate about delivering industry-leading training, and this acquisition allows us to scale that ambition even further.
“We’re proud to be part of a group that shares our values and vision for the future of skills development.”
