Law firm 'writes new chapter' with office move
A law firm is expanding with an office move.
Taylor Emmet has unveiled a switch to Sheffield’s Isaacs Building.
Bosses say the move marks “an exciting new chapter” for the 150-plus-year-old business.
They add the site, built by paperhanging merchant David Isaacs in the 1900s, will “support the firm’s future growth ambitions (and ensure it remains) at the heart of Sheffield’s legal and business community”.
Taylor Emmet – which has sister offices in Rotherham, Derbyshire and London – will occupy two floors of the building.
Steve Hinshelwood, chief executive, said: “This move reflects our continued growth and our commitment to providing a modern, collaborative environment for clients and colleagues.”
The move forms part of the multi-million-pound Sheffield City Council-led Heart of the City regeneration scheme, which bosses say will help create up to 7000 jobs by 2030.
Councillor Ben Miskell, chair of the council’s transport, regeneration and climate policy committee, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Taylor Emmet to the Isaacs Building.
“It is yet another example of how businesses are recognising the outstanding things we have on offer in the city.”
Andrew Davison, project director at real estate firm Queensberry, which is working alongside Sheffield City Council on the project, added: “We are proud to see another of the city’s long-standing and independent companies taking space in Heart of the City.”
