Lettings firm expands footprint with takeover
A lettings agency has expanded with a takeover.
Arden Property Management has bought Smart Property’s lettings division.
Bosses say the deal unites “two respected local agencies” to “offer an even broader range of services”.
They add it will bolster Edinburgh-based Arden’s portfolio to include property sourcing, refurbishment advice, insurance claim support and access to a private investor network.
Under the terms of the deal, the expanded business will operate under Arden’s name.
Smart Property director Kat Usher has joined Arden as a partner, with Smart Property co-founder Phil Nugent stepping back from day-to-day operations.
Catriona Smith, Arden senior partner, said: “This is a big and exciting step for us, not just in terms of growth, but in how we can support clients.
“Kat and I share a similar outlook when it comes to doing business: putting people first, being hands-on and keeping standards high.
“It made complete sense to bring our teams together.”
Kat added: “The fit felt right from the start; our values align and we’re both passionate about delivering great service.”
