Hardwick Festival rolls back the years
A North East music festival is throwing it back to Glastonbury’s earliest days with a nostalgic ticket offer celebrating its 2025 line-up.
Hardwick Festival, held in the grounds of Hardwick Hall, County Durham, is giving fans the chance to snap up tickets at prices that match key Glastonbury years - with day passes starting at just £1.
The limited-time promotion celebrates the decades-long Glasto heritage of this year’s performers, who have racked up more than 37 Worthy Farm appearances between them.
The 2025 bill includes Pet Shop Boys, Scissor Sisters, Sam Ryder, Tom Walker, The Lathums, The Wailers, Everything Everything, Scouting for Girls, Rianne Downey and Brand New Heavies, among others.
Named the ‘Pay Like It’s 1970’ campaign, the offer includes ten £1 tickets – matching the cost of Glastonbury’s debut year – as well as tiered pricing inspired by other years in the iconic festival’s history.
For example, 20 day tickets are available at the 1983 price of £12, and 40 tickets match 1994’s cost of £59.
A small number of discounted weekend passes are also available for £159.
Organisers say the campaign is a thank you to fans and a response to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, allowing more people to enjoy one of the UK’s top summer music events without breaking the bank.
Hardwick Festival 2025 takes place between August 15 and 17, and promises a world-class weekend of live music across multiple stages, gourmet street food, family entertainment and a welcoming atmosphere.
Tickets are extremely limited and available while stocks last. Once each pricing tier sells out, it will not return.
