Housebuilder gets nod for 59-home scheme
A housebuilder has secured approval for a 59-home development.
Amethyst Homes is set to break ground on The Woodlands.
Set for land in Guide Post, near Stakeford in South East Northumberland, bosses say work on the two, three and four-bed estate will begin later this summer.
They add the development will form part of a wider 100-plus home scheme, with properties primed to include solar panels and electric vehicle charging points.
The first homes are earmarked for completion next summer.
Richard Bass, managing director at Consett-based Amethyst Homes, said: “This development will deliver much-needed housing to the area.
“The Woodlands lies just off the A1068 and is near Morpeth and Bedlington, which both offer a variety of local amenities and facilities.”
Founded in 2013, Amethyst Homes has built more than 600 properties in the North East, with its developments including the Consett-based Regents Park; Vallum Heights, in Newcastle; and The Pastures, in East Sleekburn, near Bedlington.
