Knights takes higher ground with office move
A national professional services firm has unveiled a Thames Valley expansion.
Knights has agreed a deal to take over the 12th floor of The Blade high-rise, in Reading.
The space will replace an existing base set across half of the office block’s 13th floor, with bosses hailing the move as a “clear signal of intent” to deliver regional and national growth.
The switch follows Knights’ takeover of IBB Law earlier this year, with dispute resolution partner Peter Sheppard subsequently added to its ranks.
The firm - whose services cover areas including banking, business tax, employment and real estate - says plans are in place for four “experienced partners” to join the office in the coming months.
James Christacos, regional client services director, said: “This move is fantastic for us, having outgrown our existing space.
“The new office will provide an environment that matches the quality of service we offer.
“The Reading office is a key link between our teams across the South East and South West, and this move will provide a strong base from which to deliver services and attract the best and most ambitious professionals.”
The move comes after Knights bought Rix & Kay Solicitors LLP in a deal it says will boost its presence across Kent and Sussex.
Earlier this year, it also expanded with multi-million-pound moves for Thursfields and Essex-based law firm Birkett Long.
Knights’ office estate stretches across the UK, from Carlisle and Stockton to Leeds, Sheffield and York.
It has further bases in Brighton, Cheltenham, Chester, Leicester, Portsmouth, Stoke, Weybridge and Wilmslow.
