JPL Flavours expands senior team with two hires
Flavour manufacturer JPL Flavours, based in the Wirral, has strengthened its 52-strong team with two senior appointments.
Laura Al-Azzawe joins as sales director, bringing 16 years’ experience in the food industry and a strong track record in strategic sales and customer relationships.
She said: “I’m really excited to be joining JPL Flavours as sales director.
“Having spent 16 years in the flavour and food industry, it’s clear that success comes from passion, creativity and people – and that’s exactly what drew me to JPL.
“What really stood out to me was the warmth of the culture and the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of such a forward-thinking and dynamic business.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with our talented sales team to continue building strong relationships with our customers, uncovering new opportunities, and making JPL the go-to partner for exceptional flavours and service.
“My goal is to drive growth in a way that’s sustainable and meaningful – for the business, for the team and for our customers – while bringing a bit of fun and positive energy along the way.”
Meanwhile, Oliver Henderson has been named head of business development, with over 14 years’ experience in international business development and account management across the food and beverage sector.
He added: “I’m excited to be joining JPL Flavours at such an exciting time in the company’s journey.
“With the new site, new technologies coming on board, accompanied by the passion and drive of the great people who are in the business, I am looking forward to pushing the boundaries of where JPL can get to.
“Working with the team and selected external partners, we plan to extend JPL’s high-quality flavours reach that will ultimately create JPL as an established European name and beyond.
“With our technologies, reputation for best-in-class flavours, extraordinary service levels and a company personality like no other, I am confident that our expansion mission will be a success.”
The appointments form part of JPL’s ongoing investment in people, technology and facilities as it continues to drive growth in 2025.
Jake Lavelle, managing director, added: “Investing in new team members is key for JPL succeeding in the long run.
“It is important to us that we strive for the very best in business to help us grow to our full potential.
“I am really excited about working with both Laura and Oliver and seeing how their years of experience can help us grow at JPL.”
