Ignite Padel serves up new Cheshire Oaks site
A sports company has launched a new padel centre.
Ignite Padel has opened its second site at Cheshire Oaks, featuring five indoor championship courts and two outdoor courts for all-weather play.
The Liverpool-based company, which opened its first venue in the city in April 2025, has seen strong demand for its floodlit outdoor courts over the summer.
The new Cheshire Oaks facility also includes a retail store offering racquets, balls and clothing, as well as expert coaching for all abilities.
Players can join the club’s large WhatsApp community– the largest padel group chat in the North West – to arrange matches and social games, while regular tournaments provide competitive opportunities across bronze, silver and gold rankings.
A spokesperson for Ignite Padel said: ““We have imported the courts from Spain and they are championship standard quality and LTA approved.
“Being able to create indoor padel courts was also a key factor in the company’s expansion plans.
“Having the five indoor courts, and two outdoor, will give us greater flexibility in what we’re able to offer and allow us to host top-level tournaments.
“It’s not just about being able to play in all weathers; the indoor game tends to attract more elite players because it is seen as a more pure form.
“It is a different experience to playing outdoors because there’s no wind, so you get a truer trajectory on the ball.”
Ignite Padel plans to open a total of five clubs across the North West within the next 12 months.
