Regal quenches growth thirst with drink deal
A food and drink maker has expanded with a takeover.
Regal Food Products Group has bought soft drink brand Suncrest.
Bosses say the move – completed for an undisclosed sum – “paves the way for new opportunities in UK and international markets”.
Headquartered in Bradford, Regal Foods supplies bakery, confectionery, snack and drink products to the retail and foodservice sectors.
Founded in 1985, Suncrest’s range includes mango, tropical, lychee, guava, coconut water, aloe vera and lassi-flavoured drinks.
Younis Chaudhry, chief executive, said: “Suncrest is a natural fit for our expanding beverage portfolio and supports our long-term growth strategy.
“We are particularly excited to reintroduce Suncrest to consumers, with a focus on new product development and innovation to drive the brand forward.”
