Eagle Chauffeuring soars again in North East

A North East entrepreneur is reviving a family legacy.

Babar Malik has launched Eagle Chauffeuring, a premium transport and concierge service operating across Newcastle, Durham and Teesside.

The new business brings back the Eagle name once associated with his father, Mohammed Malik, whose Eagles Taxis fleet of 50 vehicles was renowned for professionalism across the region.

Eagle Chauffeuring begins with six executive vehicles and a team of family and trusted drivers.

Babar says the service focuses on airport transfers, corporate travel and special events, emphasising luxury, comfort and attentive customer care.

With demand already growing, he adds that plans are in place to expand the fleet to 30 vehicles in 2026.

Babar said: “My dad built a reputation for quality and respect in the community.

“I remember seeing his drivers in shirts and ties – it left an impression and gave customers a premium service that just isn’t available anymore.

“That’s what I wanted to bring back: not just the name, but the high standards.”

After more than a decade working offshore as a rigger in the oil and gas industry, Babar has returned to his roots, inspired by his father’s business and a desire to offer a more refined alternative to standard taxis and ride-hailing services.

He added: “There’s a real appetite in the North East for travel that feels personal but delivers professionally.

“We’re helping people arrive in the right frame of mind – whether it’s for a meeting, a wedding or a special occasion.

“We’re more than just a driving service; we’re bringing a slice of luxury travel and the personal touch that the region is missing.

“We’ve invested in the little details; from the quality of the vehicles to the way our drivers dress and interact with clients.

“It’s about creating a seamless experience that people remember for the right reasons.

“The feedback from customers has been great and we’re regularly booked up, so we’re looking to expand quickly in the next few months with more cars and more drivers.”
