Worcester unit drives car retailer expansion
A Worcester-based industrial property has changed hands.
Fisher German has sold a 25,377sq ft industrial unit on Blackpole Trading Estate to Hills Ford/Hills Automotive, a well-known West Midlands car retailer.
The site, marketed with a guide price of £2.8 million, was sold on behalf of a private owner, drawing on Fisher German’s expertise in the Worcester property market.
Bosses at Hills Ford/Hills Automotive, a family-run business already operating four sites across Worcestershire, say they plan to use the new unit to expand its car and commercial vehicle operations, including Ford models, motorhome sales and aftersales services.
They add that the development is scheduled to open in late spring 2026 and is expected to create ten to 15 new jobs, providing a boost to the local economy while enhancing the company’s capacity to serve its customers.
Richard Hill, joint managing director of Hills Ford/Hills Automotive, said: “It is fantastic to purchase our new site in Worcester.
“Fisher German was very attentive, good at communicating and helped us get a deal which worked for both us and the seller.
“We already have sites in Malvern and Kidderminster, so this location felt right for us.
“It has strong transport links and there is also automotive trade in the immediate area.
“The site itself is nicely proportioned, with good space for both external display and customer parking as well as good indoor space for our internal showroom.
“We have seen considerable growth in both the areas of light commercial vehicles and motorhomes, so saw significant potential to expand in these areas.
“We now look forward to developing the site and hope to be open towards the early part of 2026.”
Lauren Allcoat-Hatton, associate partner at Fisher German, added: “We are thrilled to have completed the sale of the unit on Blackpole Trading Estate.
“With our Worcester office situated directly opposite the site, we had a unique vantage point and deep understanding of its potential.
“Demand for quality industrial units of this size remains high across Worcestershire, and this property attracted significant interest.
“Hills Ford/Hills Automotive was a natural fit, and we’re pleased to have facilitated a deal that benefits both parties.
“We’re excited to see how the site evolves under the Hills Automotive brand and wish them every success.”
