Fisher German expands Glasgow team

Property consultancy Fisher German has expanded its Scottish presence with the launch of a new utilities and infrastructure team in Glasgow, supported by the appointments of Peter Critchon and Cass Hibbert.

Peter joins as associate partner, bringing nearly a decade of experience across traditional land agency, Scottish Water capital projects and onshore/offshore wind developments.

He will lead the growth of Fisher German’s infrastructure consultancy in Scotland while providing expert advice across the UK, including work on the Norwich to Tilbury DCO for National Grid.

Peter said: “I’m extremely pleased to join Fisher German as an associate partner to support the growth of the new utilities and infrastructure team in Glasgow.

“Historically, Fisher German’s Glasgow office has focused on commercial property management, and it’s exciting to be part of setting up a new arm of the business, so this was an extremely interesting opportunity.

“We will be looking to achieve continued growth both in terms of people and the projects we work on, while also supporting existing clients with the high standard of service Fisher German is known for.

“We will also be supporting Scotland’s route to net zero by 2045.

“There are significant opportunities in renewables and associated net-zero industries which will have huge environmental benefits, and we will be looking to make an impact in this area.”

Cass joins as senior associate, contributing more than 20 years of experience spanning telecoms, industrial and office agency, high-net-worth property portfolios and land consents for major projects.

He is currently working on initiatives to futureproof the National Gas Transmission pipeline network.

Cass added: “I’m joining Fisher German at a great time as the firm looks to grow its presence in Scotland.

“It’s very rare to be given the opportunity to help develop and drive forward an entirely new team.

“There are significant opportunities in the sector in this area, and I will be working with Peter to help grow the team and capitalise on these, while also supporting existing clients with their projects.”

These appointments strengthen Fisher German’s capabilities in delivering large-scale infrastructure and utilities projects across Scotland and the wider UK.
