Salix Homes appoints new executive director

Salford housing association Salix Homes has appointed Gemma Parlby as its new executive director of customer and landlord services.

Gemma joins from Bolton at Home, where she has led a 400-strong team delivering housing and customer services across 20,000 homes in the North West. 

At Salix Homes, she will oversee repairs, housing management, customer services, landlord health and safety, and engagement, bringing over 20 years of experience in housing management, tenancy support, safeguarding and community partnership working. 

Gemma said: “I’m really pleased to be joining Salix Homes, an organisation with a strong reputation for putting people at the heart of everything it does, and I look forward to being part of a place-based housing association with a real connection to its communities.

“Delivering services that genuinely meet the needs of customers and communities is something I’m passionate about, and I’m excited to contribute to the positive difference that Salix Homes is making across Salford.”
