S&W strengthens business outsourcing team

S&W has appointed Alex Scott-Ruddock as payroll director, reinforcing its business outsourcing services team and underlining its commitment to expanding its national payroll offering.

Alex joins from MHA, where he was senior payroll manager and part of the national payroll leadership team, overseeing operations across Edinburgh, Cardiff, and London. 

With more than sixteen years of experience, including a decade in bureau payroll, he brings extensive expertise in areas such as payrolling of benefits and payroll compliance.

Alex has guided clients through major industry changes, from RTI and gender pay gap reporting to furlough and the upcoming payrolling of benefits, supporting sectors including finance, law, education, hospitality and retail.

A full member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals, Alex has also contributed to policy discussions with the Low Pay Commission. 

He said: “I’m excited to bring my experience into the S&W business services payroll team and help support both the team and our clients on a new journey to improve what we can offer. 

“Payroll is constantly evolving, and I’m looking forward to helping S&W stay ahead of the curve while delivering excellent service to clients.”

Alex’s appointment forms part of S&W’s strategy to strengthen its business outsourcing capabilities and help clients navigate an evolving regulatory landscape.
