IntrospeXion expands into the North East
Behavioural risk and wellbeing consultancy IntrospeXion has launched a regional hub in the North East, led by Kelly Allen as senior counsellor.
Founded in Scotland in 2024, IntrospeXion supports high-pressure industries with workforce wellbeing, including crisis management, fatigue workshops and employee assistance programmes.
The new hub will provide in-person counselling and psychological support to organisations across County Durham, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear, particularly in offshore energy, where mental health challenges are a serious concern.
Shabnum Hanif, founder and managing director of IntrospeXion, said: “Unlike traditional call-centre-based EAP providers, our model prioritises genuine human connection and care.
“That’s why opening our new regional hub in England is an important milestone – not just for us as a company but for the local North East workforce, especially those operating in an offshore environment.
“Throughout my tenure in director-level roles in the energy sector, I witnessed the impact that high-pressure offshore environments have on people across Scotland and England, with exhausted teams battling burnout, toxic behaviours eroding trust, and the unspoken rise of mental health struggles all too common.
“In the last year, following our intervention, reports have highlighted reduced fatigue, a greater openness about mental health, and a shift in company culture to view wellbeing as an operational necessity in creating safe and engaged workforces.
“While a stigma remains, there has been a clear indication from leaders and individuals of a willingness to learn, develop processes, and do more to help individuals working in demanding and often isolated conditions.
“Now, with a stronger platform through our North East England hub and Kelly’s appointment, we are looking forward to providing more support and care to people throughout the UK.”
