Keepmoat set to transform Alexandra Dock
A housebuilder is set to transform a dock area in Grimsby.
Keepmoat has announced plans to invest more than £20 million in Alexandra Dock, creating 120 new homes following planning approval from North East Lincolnshire Council.
Bosses say the regeneration will feature high-quality, all-electric homes, vibrant green spaces and space for retail investment.
The scheme will include 54 affordable homes offered through social rent in partnership with a local housing association, supporting the creation of a mixed and sustainable community.
Keepmoat already has a strong presence in the region, delivering 318 homes at its Cambridge Green development on the former Western School site, including affordable and retirement properties.
Richard Gough, operations director at Keepmoat, Yorkshire East, said: “We’re thrilled to secure planning to breathe new life into Alexandra Dock.
“This project represents a significant investment in the area and we’re looking forward to working alongside our partners to bring forward a brownfield piece of land set for regeneration.

Councillor Stewart Swinburn, cabinet member for housing at North East Lincolnshire Council, added: “I’m pleased this has taken the next step towards becoming a reality.

“Through investment, and working with other organisations, like Keepmoat and Homes England, we are helping to build stronger communities across our borough.”
