Advisory firm plans growth after office move success
An accountancy and business advisory firm has unveiled an expansion blueprint.
Saffery plans to double its corporate tax team.
The move comes a year after the company switched from Harrogate to Leeds’ Wellington Place.
Employing more than 80 staff in the city, the firm provides audit and accounting, corporate tax, VAT, business advisory and personal tax services.
It also supports owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurs, private wealth and family trusts, agricultural and rural businesses, and charities and not-for-profit organisations.
Tony Dillow, corporate tax director, said: “It’s been a fantastic first year in Leeds.
“We’ve seen significant client growth across all areas of corporate tax, particularly around transactions and restructuring.
“We’re actively recruiting talented professionals at every level in our corporate tax team to support that.
“Our goal to double in size reflects our commitment to this ever-expanding side of our business in Yorkshire.”
Sally Appleton, partner and Leeds office head, added: “The move to Leeds has exceeded our expectations.
“We’ve recently welcomed 11 new trainees across tax, audit and accounts, further strengthening our commitment to developing young talent and supporting the next generation of advisers.
“We’re incredibly proud of what’s been achieved in just 12 months and excited for our next stage of growth.”
