Cargo marks milestone with record growth
A North East creative agency is marking a milestone after a year of record growth, investment and innovation that has paved the way for its next phase of expansion.
Newcastle-based Cargo Creative is celebrating 16 years in business following a transformative period that has seen turnover more than double, a six-figure investment in new facilities, as well as the launch of a digital PR service designed to help brands thrive in an AI-driven landscape.
The self-funded investment supported the team’s move to a new studio at Harbour House in North Shields, creating space for collaboration and future development.
Seven new hires have also joined the agency in the past year, including its first dedicated client partner, as part of a wider push to strengthen client relationships and scale delivery.
Cargo’s new digital PR service builds on its existing marketing expertise, helping clients enhance visibility and credibility through a fully integrated approach.
The agency has also unveiled a redesigned website showcasing its creative and strategic capabilities.
Paul Hart, managing director and founder of Cargo, said: “The industry is evolving fast, and we’ve always chosen to adapt rather than resist change.
“AI is transforming every part of the creative sector, and by learning to use it to our advantage, we’re strengthening what we do best, which is deliver creative solutions that drive real results.
“Our new PR service allows us to bridge creativity, strategy and visibility to help clients cut through the noise and create impactful campaigns.”
Recent growth has seen Cargo expand its client roster with organisations such as the Alan Shearer Foundation, Lucion Group and NHC Procurement, while continuing long-term partnerships with Northern Powergrid, Perspective Financial Group and Ward Hadaway.
The company has also grown its international presence, adding clients in Europe and the US as it looks ahead to its next chapter of growth.
Paul added: “Running your own business is never easy, but our success comes down to creative excellence, technical skill, and genuine partnership with our clients.
“We’ve built a strong, talented team around those values, and that focus has brought us to where we are today.
“We’re proud of what we’ve achieved over the past 16 years, but even more excited about what’s ahead.
“Our ambition is simple. Keep evolving so our clients can too.”
