Walfinch Newcastle earns praise for quality care
A North Tyneside homecare provider has been praised for delivering “exceptional care and leadership” following a successful first inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Walfinch Newcastle, which operates across Newcastle and the wider region, received a ‘Good’ rating across all areas, with inspectors commending its strong leadership, dedicated staff and focus on person-centred care.
The report described the team as “passionate about delivering person-centred support” and highlighted a positive learning culture across the organisation.
Inspectors also recognised the provider’s wider contribution to community wellbeing through its Thrive Clubs – free local sessions that bring people together for social activities, gentle exercise and wellbeing workshops.
Families were equally positive. One relative said: “Walfinch Newcastle have been wonderful, their care, understanding, communication, support and flexibility have been a godsend,” while another added: “I would rate the service to date 10/10, as the staff have a genuine interest in my relative’s well-being and don’t just turn up, do their duties, and leave.”
The rating marks an important milestone for Walfinch Newcastle, which continues to expand its services and strengthen its reputation for compassionate, high-quality homecare across the North East.
Idris Nasar, director at Walfinch Newcastle, added: “We’re absolutely delighted with this result. It’s a huge credit to our dedicated team who deliver exceptional care every day.
“The CQC report reflects the compassion and professionalism that define our service.
“This recognition sets a strong foundation for what’s next.
“We now plan to build on this success – expanding our reach, developing our team, and continuing to raise standards of home care across the communities we serve.”
