Paragon Bank backs ‘flagship’ housing scheme

A North West housebuilding project is moving forward with significant financial support for a new residential community.

Paragon Bank is providing a £10.3 million development finance facility to Eccleston Homes for Brook House Place, a 57-home scheme taking shape in the centre of Urmston, Greater Manchester. 

The development, which broke ground in May 2025, is progressing well, with the first properties expected to be ready by spring 2026.

Brook House Place, which will offer a mix of tenures, including shared ownership and affordable rent, is designed for modern living, offering a mix of energy-efficient homes ranging from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom family houses.

Set within one of Greater Manchester’s most sought-after suburbs, the development will give residents easy access to strong transport links, including the M60 and regular rail services to Manchester city centre, alongside a vibrant town centre of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. 

Nearby green spaces such as Golden Hill Park and Abbotsfield Park add to the area’s appeal for families.

The funding deal was led on behalf of Paragon Bank by Simon Dekker, senior relationship director, with support from Izzy Sargeant, portfolio manager.
