Storyblok appoints new chief revenue officer

Enterprise CMS provider Storyblok has appointed Joe Vranicar as chief revenue officer as the company continues its rapid global expansion.

Joe joins from Kong, where he served as vice president and general manager, bringing extensive enterprise sales leadership experience from roles at Datrium, Automation Anywhere, Sprinklr and AWS.

His appointment follows a period of record growth for Storyblok, which has increased its enterprise customer base by 40 per cent in the past ten months to more than 500 clients.

Joe said: “We are experiencing a massive transformation in content that is happening faster than anyone could have imagined.

“Content has become just as important as other business-critical data, but brands don’t have confidence that their content is accurate and visible across AI search and all of the platforms that are important to them.

“Storyblok has seen strong growth over a prolonged period of time because of the value we deliver in these areas and the core product experience that brings joy to developers and marketers.

“We’re just getting started with the growth potential we have.”

Storyblok’s momentum has been fuelled by rising demand from organisations migrating away from legacy CMS platforms unable to support AI-driven customer journeys.

At its first JoyConf event, the company unveiled new innovations including FlowMotion for workflow automation and Strata, a vector data layer that adds semantic intelligence to content.

The firm was recently named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape for AI-enabled headless CMS platforms.

Dominik Angerer, chief executive and co-founder of Storyblok, added: “The market is accelerating in our direction as brands demand more control over their content.

“Joe’s deep experience across enterprise API and AI agendas makes him an ideal fit to help lead our next phase of growth during this time of content transformation.”
