AMS Group boosts services with Verve deal

A Manchester professional services firm has expanded its services through a strategic acquisition.

AMS Group has bought Preston-based Verve Co. to accelerate the launch of a new consulting division aimed at supporting mid-market businesses. 

Verve Co., known for its strategic advisory and board-level services to SMEs and corporates across multiple sectors, will help AMS strengthen its offer in relationship-led consultancy.

Bosses say the deal marks a major step in AMS Group’s growth plans, bringing expertise in strategic guidance, succession planning and operational support. 

They add that the new division will also introduce outsourced finance services and IT consulting focused on systems, technology and AI to boost efficiency and manage business risk.

AMS plans further senior hires to support the expansion, building a team of experienced sector leaders to advise clients on board strategy.
