Atelier backs Wycombe housing scheme

A development finance lender has supported a new housing project in Buckinghamshire.

Atelier has completed a £7.6 million loan to fund the conversion of an office building in High Wycombe into 52 new apartments.

The finance package, agreed at 66 per cent LTV over 24 months, will support a permitted development scheme featuring studio, one-bed and two-bed homes alongside resident parking.

Bosses say the project will bring a mix of living spaces to the town, which remains a popular location thanks to strong transport links, proximity to London and access to good schools.

They added the funding reflects Atelier’s ongoing commitment to back well-located residential schemes and support the delivery of much-needed housing supply across the UK.

Luke Eadie, lending manager at Atelier, said: “It has been a pleasure to work with a new borrower and further strengthen our relationship with Brotherton on this permitted development scheme in High Wycombe.

“We look forward to seeing the delivery of 52 high-quality homes in an excellent location.”

Simon Joseph, relationship director at Atelier, added: “This is the latest in a long line of permitted development schemes we have financed, and we are well placed to advise developers on optimal loan structures for PD schemes.

“We can’t overlook the role office-residential conversion will play in increasing housing supply.”
