Repairs firm 'switched on for growth' amid demand

A domestic appliance repair firm says it is switched on for growth and job creation after demand pushed financial results higher.

Pacifica Group saw turnover rise to £42.8 million in the 12 months to March 31.

The figure was nearly 19 per cent higher than a year ago, with bosses hailing a 51,000 increase in nationwide job volumes to 360,000.

Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation at the firm, headquartered in Houghton-le-Spring, also nearly doubled to £2.165 million.

Bosses say the company benefited from bolstering its controlled staffing capacity to more than 300 engineers and regional service partners, and scaling its Pacifica Local partner network, which now includes 18 approved regional franchisees.

Its in-house software and digital innovation division, known as Pacifica Technology, also generated more than £1 million in revenue, thanks to demand for workflow systems, IT infrastructure and service optimisation.

Kevin Brown, chief executive, said: “We remain committed to creating long-term opportunities in the North East through skilled engineering roles, customer service operations and technology development.

“We’re growing, we’re investing and we’re building a business with strong foundations for the future.

“There are significant opportunities for sustainable growth in the 2026 financial year.

“The scale of our operations, the strength of our client relationships and the capability of our technology platform mean we are well placed to support homeowners, insurers and manufacturers across the UK.”

The company works with firms including Electrolux, Sony, Hisense, LG and Argos.
