Ama Capital appoints operating partner
Manchester-based private equity investment firm Ama Capital has strengthened its operator-led model with the appointment of Dominic Miller as an operating partner.
Dominic brings extensive experience supporting buy-and-build strategies, having led sixteen corporate acquisitions in the UK and internationally during multiple rounds of private equity backing.
He co-founded healthcare consultancy Fishawack Health in 2001 and grew the business into an international group with more than 1400 employees across Europe, North America and Asia.
Dominic joins Ama Capital’s growing operating partner team, which works closely with investee companies to support growth, acquisitions and value creation.
He also holds a number of non-executive board roles across professional services and engineering businesses.
Dominic said: “I’m thrilled to join the Ama Capital team.
“Their operator led approach to supporting investees aligns exactly with my own.
“Companies benefit from real world, relevant experience and business insight to support growth, and I’m excited to share my skills and expertise, particularly across the buy-and-build/M&A arena, to support Ama’s investee management teams.”
Ama Capital focuses on providing flexible capital to profitable UK SMEs, investing up to £25 million across management buyouts, growth capital, retirement sales and carve-outs within professional services, business services and specialist engineering sectors.
Co-founder Ed Ransome added: “We're delighted to be bringing Dom on board.
“He has invaluable and extensive experience in establishing and growing people-led businesses across multiple PE-backed environments, with a particular leaning towards buy-and-builds.
“Fishawack was a prime example of this.
“We expect him to become an important and very active part of our team going forward."
