Saffery appoints transfer pricing manager
Leeds-based chartered accounting and business advisory firm Saffery has strengthened its tax offering with the appointment of transfer pricing manager Agnieszka Krajewska.
Agnieszka brings more than 15 years’ experience in transfer pricing, having begun her career at Deloitte in Poland before moving into in-house and advisory roles at Burberry and KPMG.
In her new role at Saffery, she advises clients ranging from SMEs to large multinational groups on cross-border intercompany transactions.
Her work includes designing and implementing transfer pricing policies and supporting businesses with documentation to meet OECD and local regulatory requirements.
Agnieszka said: “I’ve spent my entire career working in transfer pricing and it’s a fascinating area because we work with large and small clients in all sectors, from manufacturers through to companies in the gaming industry, and each one requires a bespoke solution.
“Plus, although we work globally, it’s a relatively small profession, so lots of the work comes from recommendations from existing clients and contacts.
“Saffery has a superb reputation and a proven track record of delivering for its clients, as well as working with numerous international transfer pricing teams through Nexia, the network of independent accounting firms with members throughout the world.
“All these aspects combined to make this an exciting career move and an opportunity to further my experience in the industry.”
Saffery relocated its Yorkshire office to Wellington Place in Leeds city centre last year and now employs a team of 72 people.
The firm offers a full range of accounting, tax and business advisory services and is one of the UK’s longest-established independent accountancy practices.
Sally Appleton, partner and head of the Leeds office at Saffery, added: “Transfer pricing is a niche but critical field that is closely regulated and monitored by tax authorities and governments throughout the world to ensure they’re not missing out on tax income.
“Companies also need to be certain that they’re receiving the best and most accurate advice, which all makes Agnieszka’s experience invaluable and especially because she has the perspective of working in both tax advisory firms and in-house.
“She’s already proving to be a superb addition to our team as well as enhancing the level of service and expertise that we can offer our clients.”
